Director of Sales/ Buyer
Jason Magnusson, Director of Sales/Buyer. Jason brings over 10 years of food and beverage experience and a strong background in sales to Liberty Merchant Company. Prior to joining Liberty, his career and passion for wine have taken him to various countries around the world and cities across Canada.

Jason began working at Liberty Wine Merchants (Point Grey) as a wine consultant and quickly moved into a position as Sales Representative for Liberty Merchant Company. Shortly after joining the Liberty team, he became responsible for buying wine. This role takes him to many international trade events, where he scours the convention floors looking for great new wines and meets with Liberty’s 140+, highly valued suppliers. He was promoted to Director of Sales in October of 2004.

Jason has his Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma and is working part time toward his Marketing Management Systems Certificate at BCIT.

Portfolio Manager/ Buyer
Andrew Topham Originally from the Yukon, Andrew spent his childhood in Liberia before returning to Canada and eventually settling in the Okanagan. Andrew first joined Liberty in 1996 at its Point Grey location while a student at UBC. In addition to being our Portfolio Manager / Buyer he is also a talented photographer. His portraits of local personalities have appeared in Ion, Exclaim, The Georgia Straight, The Toronto Star, Elm Street and some photographs displayed on our own Liberty Website.
